Healthy, attractive, and flawless skin boosts your confidence, but how you can manage it. Well, a simple skincare routine improves your appearance and makes your skin healthy. This is a great way, and you can follow it. A less effort can give you even and brighter skin. Less is always more or skin, and I recommend some simple skincare like Sunscreen, retinoid, and an antioxidant.
Sunscreen is one of the must-haves in your daily skincare routine. It is your best anti-aging treatment. The UVA and UVB rays that emerge from the sun cause discolored, sagging, and dull skin. Overexposure to the sun’s damaging rays can cause the mutation of your DNA and lead to skin cancer, including the deadliest form of skin cancer, melanoma.
You should choose the broad-spectrum Sunscreen which has an SPF of 30 or higher and is also enriched with Zinc and titanium dioxide. These ingredients are found in physical sunscreens, they reflect the sunlight and protect against a broader spectrum of rays, including the blue light rays from the screens in electronic appliances.
Retinoids are also the next best way to fight and treat aging. They help in building collagen and elastin, which are responsible for the building blocks of our skin. The key to the use of retinoids is to “go low and slow.” A pea-sized amount is enough for the whole face and only needs to apply one to two times per week, followed by moisturizer. Increase the frequency to three or four-timer per week and you can build up to nightly application if your skin is responding well.
Antioxidants protect your skin from free radical damage. You should consume Vitamin C, Vitamin E, and carotene to protect your skin cells from free radicals, which reduces the aging signs. As per your skin type, talk to your dermatologist which may be best for your skin, and use them during the day when you are exposed to pollution and sun.
Your simple skincare routine should be like this:
In the Morning
- Cleanse your face with a gentle or mild face cleanser
- Then apply a few drops of the antioxidant
- Apply a good kind of moisturizer
- Then apply sunscreen
- Apply makeup, if desired
In the Evening
- Cleanse your face
- Take a pea-sized amount of retinoid and apply it ( start it from one or two nights a week)
- Then apply moisturizer
- You should also pamper yourself weekly and monthly face care regimens like facial, Massage, chemical exfoliator, and more
If you start this skincare routine, it will take at least six weeks of maintaining an effective skincare routine to see results. The immediate result is never the answer for anything that truly works. It is the journey of self-care and improvement from both the inside and the outside. A simple skincare routine is an excellent path to take toward improved appearance, increased confidence, and give benefits.
