“Feed” Your Skin Antioxidants for a Glowing Complexion

Everyone wants a healthy and glowing complexion and for this, they apply varieties of skincare and makeup products. If you are one of them who try every possible way to get younger-looking skin, let’s give a chance to antioxidants.

Although there is no actual data that can prove, antioxidants prevent aging, according to the experts, they can prevent free radicals and may protect you from certain diseases, antioxidants-rich food can also help you to achieve a healthier, younger-looking, and glowing complexion.

According to Susan M. Kleiner, Dr. Kleiner, a nutritionist, antioxidant-rich foods is best for aging skin. There is no alternative for getting nutrients through food. Our body absorbs and assimilates nutrients far better than in supplement form.

Dr. Kleiner suggests we should include three to five servings of vegetables and two to four servings of fruit each day, and also eat one citrus fruit like orange, tangerine, or others to fulfill the requirement of Vitamin C in our skin. To increase the beta-carotene intake, you should eat at least two oranges and leafy green vegetables like spinach each day.

Include Right and Healthy Foods In Your Diet For Younger Looking Skin

Healthy foods are directly connected with younger-looking skin and many health benefits. If you drink a glass of orange juice and one raw carrot each day, it provides twice the RDA (Recommended Dietary Allowance) of vitamin C and beta-carotene.  If you take a low-fat diet, it is harder to get, the RDA for Vitamin E. So, don’t be afraid to add a couple of tablespoons of olive oil to your daily diet, you can also eat some nuts or seeds.

The following guideline can be used to fulfill the RDAx for three of the most common antioxidants nutrients, like Vitamin C, Vitamin E, and beta-carotene, and maximize the benefits of each.

If you feel that it is very hard to meet the RDAs through diet alone, you can add a supplement of antioxidants and vitamins, but remember, food sources are better than the supplement.

You can also add some antioxidants enriched skincare products to your daily skincare regime to get a healthy and glowing complexion.
